The Feeling Herd
Horse Led: Open-Hearted Listening
A Journey to the Temple Within
The horse becomes both guide and mirror.
Through their presence we are invited to listen with the whole body, to soften the mind, and to return to a deeper form of knowing that lives beneath language.
Horse Led: Open-Hearted Listening is an exploration of embodied awareness, feminine cycles, and the subtle intelligence of the heart. Like water responding to the pull of the moon, the work honours rhythm, sensitivity, and the natural ebb and flow of life.
The horse walks the path to the temple within.
Standing in the presence of a horse requires truth. Horses respond not to words, but to authenticity — to the energy carried beneath our masks. In their company, pretence dissolves. What remains is a quiet invitation to meet ourselves honestly.
Within a herd, each horse listens with its entire body. Every member holds a role, yet individuality remains intact. Their world is one of constant attunement — a living example of relational awareness, where sensitivity and strength coexist.
Observing them, I recognised qualities I longed to embody:
• Courageous yet empathetic
• Independence held within community
• Freedom balanced with boundaries
• Divine Sensitivity rooted in grounded presence
The horses seemed to understand a deeper truth — a language of the heart that exists beneath the conditioning that often silences human instinct.
My work traces these realisations.
Through drawing, painting, and contemplative visual space, the work becomes a pathway — an invitation to slow down, to listen differently, and to reconnect with the intuitive intelligence we carry within our bodies.
The horse is not simply the subject of the work; it is the teacher.
In walking beside them, we are guided back toward the temple within ourselves.
Held in this space vortex energy work.
